They are pragmatic Democrats, appealing to the mainstream values of the American public. WASHINGTON D.C. — The Blue Dog Coalition issued the following statement following the release of the Senate negotiated Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026 to reform America’s outdated permitting process:
“Americans’ electricity bills keep rising, while the additional energy production and transmission capacity needed to reduce costs languish in regulatory limbo.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, the Blue Dog Coalition issued the following statement after the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act became law. This comprehensive housing package includes several provisions aimed at reducing regulatory barriers to construction, increasing supply, and supporting housing in rural communities.
My 2024 congressional race was the closest in America, decided by 187 votes out of more than 200,000. The same group of voters who elected me also went for Donald Trump, making our district one of only a handful in the nation to collectively split their ticket between a Republican for president and a Democrat for Congress.
