Mike Ross statement on Blue Dog Rep. Dan Boren not seeking re-election
June 7, 2011
Today, Representative Mike Ross (D-AR), Blue Dog Co-Chair for Communications, issued the following statement on U.S. Representative Dan Boren's announcement that he would not be seeking re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
"For over 6 years, Dan Boren has been a strong, effective representative for the people of Oklahoma's 2nd District and a tireless leader of the centrist Democratic Blue Dog Coalition. As Blue Dog Whip, Dan has been an integral part of the Coalition's efforts to put an end to the extreme partisanship in Washington. It has been an honor not only to have Dan as a colleague, but a friend, and the Blue Dogs will continue to follow his footsteps as we work to bring Republicans and Democrats together to address some our nation's biggest challenges."
