Statement from Blue Dog Co-Chairs Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Jared Golden on the Loss of Buzzy Peltola

Blue Dog Co-Chairs Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) and Rep. Jared Golden (ME-02) issued the following statement on the loss of Buzzy Peltola, husband of fellow Blue Dog Co-Chair Rep. Mary Peltola (AK-AL):

"We are completely heartbroken by the loss of Buzzy Peltola, the loving husband of our friend and colleague Mary.

This summer we were blessed to be able to spend time with Mary, Buzzy, and their kids, fishing in the waters of Alaska they all love so much. The joyfulness we saw emanate from them when they were all together was beautiful, and a testament to the power that family, faith, and togetherness has to refuel the soul.

Buzzy was an incredible man, devoted to Mary, his children, and everyone he loved. Our prayers are with Mary and Buzzy's entire family as they grieve."
