Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Enhancement Act

This bill improves the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) Program by making it easier for families of public safety officers who suffer from fatal heart attacks or strokes in the line of duty to receive benefits from the program. This bill is led by Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46) and cosponsored by Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04), Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13), Rep. Jared Golden (ME-02) and Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03).

Protect and Serve Act of 2025

This bill creates federal penalties for anyone who targets law enforcement officers and willfully harms them in the execution of a crime. This bill is co-led by Blue Dog Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) and Jared Golden (ME-02) and is co-sponsored by Blue Dogs Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03), Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13), Rep. Jim Costa (CA-21), and Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46).

Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect our families and communities, and we honor them by ensuring they have the tools needed to do their jobs safely and effectively. HELPER Act of 2025

This bill establishes a program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide mortgage assistance to law enforcement officers, elementary and secondary school teachers, firefighters, and other first responders. This bill is co-led by Blue Dog Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) and is co-sponsored by Blue Dogs Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03), Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13), Rep. Jim Costa (CA-21), Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46), and Rep. Sanford Bishop (GA-02).
